TEAM HEROES ORPHAN OUTREACH
TEAM HEROES is a long-term children's home and registered CBO (community-based organization) in Trans-Nzoia County near the town of Kitale, Kenya. It started in 2003 when Charles Masinde became increasingly burdened to meet needs of homeless children living in the streets and slums near Kitale. Child homelessness continues to be a crisis in East Africa.

Almost all of Kitale's street children have lost one or both parents by death, abandonment, or incarceration.
Many have fled the home of an abusive relative. Most have experienced trauma and severe poverty.
All are at risk for sexual predation/trafficking, prostitution, disease, substance addiction, and criminal influence.
Some older children are caring for younger children who have run away and gotten lost or who have been victims of neglect or abandonment.

Education to Equip

Education breaks the cycle of poverty and builds strong communities. We believe educating young people academically and Scripturally gives them a solid foundation on which to thrive and impact their world for Christ.
Mwangaza House International currently sponsors orphan students in university/college, high school and junior secondary, and primary.
Donations pay students' school fees/tuition, exam fees, uniform and supply costs, room and board, field trip and sports fees, and transportation. With more funding we can be able to send more students to school at all levels - primary through university.

that needeth not
to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the Word of Truth."

Team Heroes does not currently have a school; our students attend local area schools. Starting a school is one goal for the Mission Center we are now working to establish.
